Rich
is the lead inventor on two fundamental granted patents & patent
applications pending for technology being commercialized by Chela Tech.
He received his BS in Chemistry from
Stanford
University
where he helped found the cycling club, leading to his membership on the US
National Cycling Team, including competing in World Championships, the Pan
American Games, and other International Level Cycling Events.
He received his Ph.D. in Chemistry from the
University
of
Wisconsin
, a post-doc at UCLA, & then
conducted research at the Molecular
Biology Institute at UCLA,
Los Angeles. Subsequently he worked as a
Molecular Biologist at SRI International & at the California Institute of
Technology, leading to a Director position at Vestar Research (now NEXSTAR,
NASDAQ). He later founded & was
President of ChromatoChem & was
a Faculty Affiliate at the
University
of
Montana
. He founded ChelaTech in 1996 & developed innovative separation technology
funded by reseach grants from NIH, NSF, & EPA.
